Once the filming is completed, and all of your photos and home movies collected, we will return to the studio to begin the editing phase. This is where we edit and compile all of the footage we have collected into the final product.

We begin by digitizing and scanning all of your photographs and home movies into our machine and returning them to you promptly. Depending on the package you have selected, this editing process can take between 5 and 8 weeks to complete. Projects involving chroma key (green screen) will always be closer to 8 weeks, due to the time-intensive rendering process involved.

During this time, we will provide you with regular updates on the progress of your video, and will finalize details about things like music you would like included and the final look of your DVD menu and jacket covers.

At then end of this process you will receive five (5) copies of the DVD as part of your package, and each subsequent DVD will be $5.00.

The Personal History Project is committed to the longevity of shared memories, and the connection to family, so we will make ourselves available to provide copies of the DVD up to five years after the documentary has been finished.
